Add a second battery to your 300 Series without drilling a single hole. This DIY kit bolts straight into the factory battery location and gives you instant jump-start power at the press of a cabin-mounted button – so a flat battery never ends your trip.

Which BCDC Do You Need?
Most batteries charge best at 10–25% of their AH rating.

How It Works
This kit adds an auxiliary battery alongside your factory under-bonnet battery, with the jump-start feature triggered by a momentary button mounted in the cabin. The aux battery is charged automatically by the BCDC (DCDC) charger, which switches between the main battery/alternator or solar input depending on which source is strongest at the time. The grey Anderson plug is a direct feed for solar panels or blankets, with the BCDC's built-in regulator managing the solar input. Two MIDI fuses on the PDP charger bracket protect the BCDC unit, and a 5-amp mini blade fuse protects the jump-start solenoid dash-switch circuit. Your installer will configure the BCDC's charging profile to suit your chosen auxiliary battery.

- Designed around the Invicta lithium battery (SNLH95D), managed by the REDARC BCDC1225D/1240D – rated for high-heat, under-bonnet use
- Lithium battery sold separately
- The red-top MIDI fuse holders shown on the battery and solar mount are sold separately – they indicate provisional fuse locations for future use

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to drill my 300 Series to fit this kit?
No – this kit uses the factory mounting holes and the factory battery's location, so there's no drilling required.
Do I need to replace my main battery?
No – the kit runs off your existing factory cranking battery.
Which BCDC size should I choose?
The 25A (BCDC1225D) suits a ~100Ah aux battery and is the standard choice. Go 40A (BCDC1240D) if you want faster charging, keeping in mind a higher charge rate can shorten battery life over time.
Can I run a winch off this setup?
Yes – add an on/off winch switch to link the aux battery in via the 100-amp solenoid, which helps supply the extra amps a winch can draw and keeps recovery smooth. Running the engine while winching is recommended to help maintain battery voltage.
Is the battery included?
No – the lithium battery and the red-top MIDI fuse holders are sold separately.
