FAQs
What’s the difference between a lithium battery and a regular one?
Without getting all 'sciencey' and technical, the main differences are that lithium batteries charge faster, can discharge to a lower percentage than a lead acid battery without becoming damaged, last several times longer and are more energy efficient. Typically, they're at least 95% efficient as opposed to the 80% - 85% that you'd get from a regular battery.
Are Invicta batteries designed for use in Australia?
Absolutely – they’re purpose-built especially for the Aussie market. It’s no secret that our country has some of the toughest environmental conditions on the planet. So, when you fit your ride or rig with Invicta battery technology, you can be sure it’ll keep powering on through, come rain, shine, wind, dust or whatever else Mother Nature fancies throwing your way.
What are some of the prime reasons to choose Invicta lithium batteries over other makes?
It’s hard to narrow it down to just a few pointers as Invicta batteries have so much going for them. If Perth Diesel Performance were pushed to give, say, three reasons to buy them, we’d say that 1) they represent the very latest in lithium battery technology, 2) their low discharge rate means an Invicta lithium battery will happily sit unused for up to 12 months without any detriment and 3) the range encompasses all power needs – from having an ultra-slim reliable source to charge devices for a family weekend camping trip through to the power and energy needed for full-on heavy-duty winch mode.
Is it safe to have a lithium battery under the bonnet?
Yes, as long as the battery is designed to be housed in such a location, such as the Invicta Under-Bonnet model, and that it’s not sited close to a heat source.
