Maxtrax
Go steeper, deeper, higher and further with the confidence that, should the proverbial hit the fan, you’ve got the means to dig out. The name MaxTrax is synonymous with the ultimate premium 4X4 recovery tracks and vehicle recovery kits. From wheelspin-resistant recovery boards to winching solutions, ropes and complete kits designed to take up minimal precious room in your rig, these are the must-have safety net for all off-road adventurers.

Maxtrax

MaxTrax recovery kit is trusted by 4WDERs across the world to get them out of sticky situations. Offering the toughest, lightest construction, the recovery boards that made this home-grown Aussie company a global name are complemented by a full range of recovery gear, all of which is guaranteed by the company’s lifetime warranty.

We stock the entire MaxTrax range. From the classic MKII, Extreme and Lite recovery boards to the Bush and Beach recovery kits, plus all the winching ropes, shackles, tyre deflation tools, replacement parts and other accessories that increase the confidence that, should the proverbial hit the fan, you’ve got the means to dig out.

When the path less travelled is calling, MaxTrax has got your back…

Are MaxTrax recovery boards hard to use?

No, and they’re designed for single person use. They’re lightweight, have built-in handles, the end doubles as a shovel, plus the traction is second-to-none. Use them to get out of sticky situations, including mud, sand and snow – they can also be used as ramps to get over boulders or even as a bridge when navigating terrain with deep, tyre-grabbing ruts.

Apart from recovery boards, what other products are in the MaxTrax range?

Pretty much everything you need to confidently traverse the toughest country. This includes different types of shackles, winch ropes, indeflate hoses, dampeners, mounting pin sets, recovery board teeth replacements, kit bags and the indispensable beach and bush complete recovery kits.

Why do MaxTrax boards come in different colours?

While some people might prefer the muted tones of desert tan, olive drab, gun metal and black, a top tip is that the brighter the board, the easier it is to find when your rig is dug in deep and your stress levels are high…

What’s the warranty on MaxTrax recovery boards?

As long as you’re adventuring, they’re guaranteed. They come with a lifetime warranty, plus you can purchase replacement teeth kits for the Extreme recovery mats that include a handy extraction tool and a bag to keep everything together.

How do I know which model of MaxTrax recovery board I need?

In short, the MaxTrax Lite is designed for smaller SUVs under 3,500 KG. The classic MKII is rated to 4,500 KG and is the most popular across the range. The Extreme is, as the name suggests, for the toughest of the tough conditions. In context, they’re what professional 4X4ers use, plus the chosen recovery track for military and special forces around the world. If you’re unsure which model you need, feel free to give us a call or drop us an email.
