Collection: ScanGauge

Knowledge is power – and this is exactly what the ScanGauge reader gives you. It shows vital trip data about what’s going on under the bonnet, providing a real-time, accurate snapshot of crucial engine and system functions. Oil pressure, fluid temperatures, fuel economy, battery health and more, it’s all at your fingertips. If anything moves out of the accepted parameters, you’ll instantly be aware – and ScanGauge also alerts and deciphers any live or pending trouble codes.

ScanGauge

Both the ScanGauge 2 and ScanGauge 3 are designed to plug directly into your vehicle’s OBDII diagnostics connector. This simple, one-cable connection is all it takes to monitor your vehicle’s engine and vital systems in a single location. And the simplicity doesn’t end there… Both models automatically determine the protocol of the vehicle. No fiddly configuration or specialist electrical learning needed.

The benefits of having vital engine data at your fingertips can’t be overstated. Whether you’re navigating the outback wilderness, towing a load or heading out on family camping trips, the ability to keep a close eye on all the vital systems not only reduces the chance of a catastrophic failure but also saves you money in the long term. Being alerted to the slightest anomaly will often mean a small tweak is all that’s needed to resolve, rather than a potentially more expensive and problematic issue further down the line.

How easy is it to install a ScanGauge reader?

It’s truly simple – literally just a single plug-n-play connector. No tools or electrical knowledge needed, just locate the OBDII diagnostics connector beneath the dash and you’re ready to rock ‘n roll.

Where does the ScanGauge reader sit in the vehicle?

The ScanGauge 3 model comes with a magnetic windscreen mount. We’ve designed and manufactured the ScanGauge pod for smart integration of the ScanGauge 2 for the Landcruiser 70 and 200 series.  Both models have a 2-metre cable, providing ample options to mount your ScanGauge in the best location for your vehicle.

What exactly does the ScanGauge reader display?

Pretty much all of the important engine and system workings. This includes km-per-litre, trip distance, coolant temperature, engine RPM, speed, fuel level, ambient temperature, barometric pressure, intake temperature, fuel distance/hours until empty… Plus it breaks down each trip, showing how much fuel was used, the distance and hours driven, max and average speed, fuel cost, the max RPM and loads more data.

What about diagnostic trouble codes?

The ScanGauge lets you know if there are any and, if so, what they are. Vitally, it also highlights any pending codes, allowing you to catch potential issues before they become a problem. The ScanGauge also allows you to clear the codes if you choose, so you can get rid of any dashboard warning lights.

Can I customise the ScanGauge reader?

Yes, you can – and we often help our customers make the small tweaks they need. The nature of a 4X4 is that most are pretty bespoke. As soon as you start improving your base Toyota Landcruiser (or any other make/model) then your rig becomes pretty unique. Whatever you’ve changed or added, our expert team is here to provide any needed assistance in setting your ScanGauge to monitor exactly what data and systems you require.
