Dirty fuel is, sadly, all too common. But fitting an N-80 Pre-Fuel Filter to your Hilux is an efficient way to prevent dirt, debris and water from entering the fuel system. And it’s not that hard to do, as Travis demonstrates in this video.
The advanced N-80 filter includes a 5-micron filter that’ll grab hold of all the unwanted muck, improving fuel quality and engine performance – both in the short and long term.
In this video, Travis runs through the simple steps to fit yours. Watch as he shows you exactly how to:
- Remove the old filter: Unscrewing it from the fuel head. Top tip – take care to retain the O-ring.
- Prepare the new filter: By installing the O-ring and screwing it onto the bowl.
- Install the new filter: Align the keyway with the fuel head and push into place.
- Connect the fuel hoses: Reattach these to the filter and fuel heads, using hose clamps to secure.
- Prime the system: Do this by removing the fuel hose that leads to the engine. Pump fuel through the new filter to remove any air bubbles. Then reattach the fuel hose
- Start the engine: Voila! The installation is complete.
